AI
Kanvas AI sits on four surfaces. Kenny is the built-in assistant embedded across the product; the MCP server is the endpoint external AI clients connect to. Each page covers what the surface does, how to trigger it, and what to expect.
Pages
- Kenny Chat Drawer — the side-drawer AI on every page (
Cmd+K) - Kenny Research — the full-page AI workspace
- Kenny Document Assistant — Kenny inside document and task editors (
Cmd+J,/kenny,/ai) - MCP Server — connect Claude Desktop, Cursor, and other MCP clients to Kanvas AI
Customising Kenny’s avatar
Kenny’s picture appears next to every reply — in the chat drawer, task comments, mentions, thread indicators, and the Kenny Research workspace.
Workspace owners can change it from Workspace Settings → Kenny by selecting one of the built-in photorealistic presets or uploading a custom image. The choice is workspace-wide, so every member sees the same Kenny. Only workspace owners can change it; other members see the current selection but cannot edit it. New workspaces start with a default preset until the owner picks something else.
